Betty Howald (Molnar)
Betty Howald, 89, of Toledo, OH, went home to be with the Lord, peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017. She was born December 2, 1928, in Toledo, OH to Mary and Andrew Molnar. She graduated from Whitney High School in 1946. Betty married John Howald in 1949, and together they raised seven children. She was completely devoted to raising her family. They were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed playing bingo.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Sandy (Dave) Roberts, Linda (Joe) Zaciewski, Jeff Howald, Jim (Anne) Howald, Bob (Shelly) Howald and Joe Howald; her brother, Gary (Phyllis) Molnar; grandchildren, Brad (Kristie) Roberts, Brian (Fiona) Roberts, Brittany (Steve) Schneider, Joey Zaciewski, Adam (Sherita) Links, Andy Links, Adrienne Howald, Angie (Andy) Donnelly, Jamie Howald, Sarah Howald, Caroline Howald, Cheryl Howald and 19 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Karen Links and siblings, Mary Jean, Richard and Andrew.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the employees at the Franciscan Care Center, especially Sr. Jordan and Sheena, for the love and care they gave to Betty these past weeks.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the funeral mass at 12 noon, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the donor’s favorite charity.
